TV Ratings: 'House,' '24' Clock Competition
FOX gets an across-the-board win Monday
Fast National ratings for Monday, Jan. 26, 2009With CBS airing a night full of reruns Monday, FOX took a pretty clear path to the top of the ratings heap.
FOX drew an 8.2 rating/12 share for the night and led its nearest competition by more than 4 million viewers. ABC finished second at 6.2/9, a little ahead of CBS, 5.8/9. NBC came in fourth with a 4.1/7. The CW trailed at 1.0/2.
FOX's 5.1 rating among adults 18-49 was also easily the night's best. ABC took second in the demographic at 3.6. CBS, 3.0, was third, followed by NBC, 1.8, and The CW, 0.7.
"House" put FOX on top at 8 p.m. with a 9.3/14, the night's best numbers. "The Bachelor" earned a 6.5/10 for ABC. Reruns of "The Big Bang Theory," 5.6/8, and "How I Met Your Mother," 4.9/7, grabbed third for CBS, topping the 4.2/6 for the "Superstars of Dance" finale on NBC. The CW went with a "Gossip Girl" rerun.
"The Bachelor," 7.3/11, had the best household rating at 9 p.m., but FOX's "24,", 7.1/10, had about a million more viewers than the ABC show. "Two and a Half Men," 7.9/11, and "Worst Week," 4.6/7, kept CBS in third. Night two of "The Last Templar" drew a 5.1/7 for NBC. A "One Tree Hill" repeat finished the night for The CW.
A "CSI: Miami" rerun, 5.9/10, gave CBS the lead at 10 p.m. "The Last Templar" posted a 5.3/9 for NBC, beating the 4.8/8 for "True Beauty" on ABC.
