Ratings suffer across the board; ABC wins demo

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008

Americans apparently had other things on their mind on Valentine's Day, as ratings were off some from last week's non-romantic Thursday.

CBS ended the night on top, averaging a 6.9 rating/12 share. NBC, 6.0/10, finished second in households, although ABC, 5.7/9, had a few more total viewers. FOX's 2.6/4 was good for fourth, and The CW trailed with a 2.1/3.

ABC won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.5 rating. CBS and NBC tied for second at 3.2. FOX and the CW were also tied, at 1.4.

"Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites" (7.6/12) led in total viewers for CBS at 8 p.m., even though NBC's "Deal or No Deal" tied it for the lead in households. A repeat of last week's "Lost" came in third for ABC. The NAACP Image Awards drew a 2.5/4 for FOX, edging the 2.4/4 for "Smallville" on The CW.

A new "Lost," 8.1/13, moved ABC in front at 9 p.m. A "CSI" rerun earned a 6.9/11 for CBS, beating out "The Celebrity Apprentice," 5.9/10, on NBC. The Image Awards held steady for FOX, and "Supernatural" scored a 1.8/3 for The CW.

The lead changed hands again at 10 p.m. as a "Without a Trace" repeat scored a 6.2/11 for CBS. ABC's "Eli Stone," 5.0/9, bled a significant amount of its lead-in audience but still did well enough to beat NBC's "Lipstick Jungle," 4.3/8.
