CBS Scores Narrow Monday Victory
'Two and a Half Men' leads the way
Fast National ratings for Monday, March 10, 2008A night of (mostly) reruns on CBS squeaked past new programming on NBC to grab a ratings win Monday, though no network will be writing home about the numbers it posted.
CBS averaged a 6.1 rating/10 share in primetime, edging NBC's 5.9/9 (the two networks were separated by only about 35,000 viewers). FOX, 5.2/8, came in third with a night of new dramas. ABC's 4.0/6 was good for fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.1/2.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 2.9 rating led the way. NBC took second with a 2.7, and ABC and FOX tied for third at 2.1. The CW fell short of the 1.0 mark.
ABC won the 8 p.m. hour with the special "The Bachelor: Where Are They Now?," 5.4/9. The premiere of "Canterbury's Law" on FOX drew a 4.9/8 to finish second. Reruns of "How I Met Your Mother," 4.3/7, and "Old Christine," 4.9/8, put CBS in third, ahead of "My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad," 4.1/7, on NBC. A "Gossip Girl" rerun aired on The CW.
"Deal or No Deal," 7.3/11, moved NBC into the lead at 9 p.m. CBS moved up to second with "Two and a Half Men," 7.6/12, and a new "Old Christine," 6.2/9. FOX's "New Amsterdam" delivered a 5.5/8 for third, topping "October Road" on ABC. "The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious" drew a 1.2/2 for The CW.
At 10 p.m., a "CSI: Miami" repeat, 6.8/11, snagged the top spot for CBS. "Medium" earned a 6.3/10 for NBC, and the season finale of "October Road" posted a 3.4/6 for ABC.
