'Stars' Shines for ABC Monday
'Dancing' dominates night; FOX also decent
Fast National ratings for Monday, March 26, 2007Week two of "Dancing with the Stars" gave ABC a big ratings win Monday, making the only race on the night the one for second place.
ABC averaged a 10.4 rating/17 share in primetime, blowing away the competition. CBS was second in households at 6.3/10, though both FOX, 6.2/9, and NBC, 6.1/9, had a few more total viewers. The CW was well back at 1.8/3.
Among adults 18-49, ABC's 4.9 rating led the way. FOX was a healthy second at 4.0, and NBC finished third at 3.2. CBS averaged 3.0 and The CW 1.2.
The first hour of "Dancing with the Stars" delivered a 12.4/20 for ABC at 8 p.m. "Deal or No Deal," 6.9/12, took second for NBC. FOX's "Prison Break" came in third at 5.2/8. Reruns of "How I Met Your Mother" and "Old Christine" put CBS in fourth, while "Everybody Hates Chris" and "All of Us" each scored a 1.8/3 for The CW.
"Dancing" improved to 13.6/20, the night's highest hourly rating, at 9 p.m. A second hour of "Deal or No Deal," 7.6/12, kept NBC ahead of FOX and "24," 7.2/11. CBS averaged 5.9/9 with repeats of "Two and a Half Men" and "Rules of Engagement." The CW held steady with "Girlfriends" and "The Game."
CBS took over the lead at 10 p.m. with a "CSI: Miami" rerun, 8.8/15. The season finale of "What About Brian" posted a 5.2/9 for ABC, beating out "The Black Donnellys," 3.9/7, on NBC.
