ABC waltzed away with the overall ratings crown on Monday, but a solid showing from "Two and a Half Men" led CBS to a demographic victory.
ABC averaged an 8.4 rating/13 share in primetime, beating CBS (6.6/10) by a comfortable margin. NBC came in third with a 6.1/10. FOX, 4.6/7, was fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.3/2.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 3.6 rating edged ABC's 3.4 for the top spot. NBC took third at 2.9, followed by FOX, 2.5, and The CW, 1.0.
"Dancing with the Stars" dominated the 8 p.m. hour for ABC with a 10.9/17. "Deal or No Deal," 5.6/9, put NBC in second in households, although the return of "Bones" (5.0/8) to FOX brought in a few more total viewers. "The Big Bang Theory," 4.7/8, and "How I Met Your Mother," 4.9/8, finished fourth for CBS. The CW aired a "Gossip Girl" rerun.
ABC held the overall lead at 9 p.m. thanks to "Dancing with the Stars," 12.0/18, and "Samantha Who?," 6.9/10. CBS, however, won the hour in adults 18-49 with "Two and a Half Men," 8.5/13, and "Rules of Engagement," 6/6.10. A second hour of "Deal or No Deal" snagged third for NBC. The finale of "New Amsterdam" on FOX posted a 4.2/6, while "One Tree Hill" earned a 1.7/2 for The CW in its new timeslot.
