'Dancing with the Stars,' 'House' Rule Monday
ABC, FOX split night; 'Gladiators' tanks on NBC
"Dancing with the Stars" led ABC to ratings win Monday night, while the return of NBC's "American Gladiators" was punchless against a full slate of competition.
ABC averaged a 9.3 rating/15 share for the night. FOX took second with a 7.5/11, edging CBS' 7.3/11. NBC was well back in fourth with a 3.7/6, and The CW trailed with a 1.8/3.
Thanks to "House," FOX led among adults 18-49 with a 4.5 rating. CBS, 4.0, came in second, beating out ABC, 3.7. NBC averaged 2.2 and The CW 1.2.
"Dancing with the Stars" dominated the 8 p.m. hour with an 11.5/18. "Bones," 5.9/9, put FOX in second. CBS finished third with "The Big Bang Theory," 5.0/8, and "How I Met Your Mother," 5.5/9. The premiere of "American Gladiators" managed only a 2.9/5 for NBC. The CW's "Gossip Girl" brought up the rear.
ABC stayed in front at 9 p.m. with "Dancing," 12.6/19, and "Samantha Who?," 7.5/11. "House" scored a 9.0/13 for FOX (and was the night's top show among adults 18-49). "Two and a Half Men," 8.5/13, and "Rules of Engagement," 6.7/10, kept CBS in third. "American Gladiators" held steady for NBC, and "One Tree Hill" delivered a 1.8/3 for The CW.
"CSI: Miami," 9.0/15, moved CBS to the lead at 10 p.m. The finale of "The Bachelor: London Calling" posted a 6.4/11 for ABC. "Medium" earned a 5.4/9 for NBC.
