Repeats Fire Up CBS Monday
FOX savors 18-49 win with 'Hell's Kitchen'
The return of "Hell's Kitchen" delivered some tasty demographic ratings for FOX Monday night, but CBS easily won the overall ratings battle.
CBS averaged a 6.6 rating/11 share in primetime, finishing well ahead of FOX's 4.3/7. ABC came in third with a 4.1/7. NBC was fourth with a 2.5/4, and The WB and UPN tied for fifth at 1.4/2.
FOX grabbed the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 3.2 rating. CBS finished second in the ad-friendly demographic with a 2.9. ABC, 2.2, took third, and NBC was fourth at 1.5. Neither UPN nor The WB crossed the 1.0 barrier.
Repeats of "The King of Queens," 4.8/9, and "How I Met Your Mother," 4.5/8, won the 8 p.m. hour for CBS. ABC was second with "Wife Swap," 4.5/8, beating out hour one of the "Hell's Kitchen" premiere, 4.0/7, on FOX. NBC was fourth with a live broadcast of Game 4 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. "One on One" and "All of Us" averaged 1.5/3 for UPN, topping a "7th Heaven" rerun on The WB.
CBS stayed on top at 9 p.m. with "Two and a Half Men," 6.6/11, and "Old Christine," 5.7/9. "Hell's Kitchen" improved to 4.8/8 and took over second. ABC's "Supernanny" was close behind at 4.6/7. NBC's hockey coverage posted a 2.5/4 for the hour. The WB and UPN switched places, with a second episode of "7th Heaven" edging "Girlfriends" and "Half & Half."
"CSI: Miami" completed the CBS sweep at 10 p.m. with a 9.0/15, the night's top rating. The debut of ABC's "How to Get the Guy" scored a 3.2/5, and NBC's Stanley Cup contest came in at 2.8/5.
