'Bachelorette' Woos Viewers Monday
DeAnna's choice rules the night for ABC
Fast National ratings for Monday, July 7, 2008ABC turned its entire Monday night over to DeAnna Pappas' search for love, and it paid off with a ratings win.
The Alphabet network easily won the night with a 6.9 rating/12 share. CBS finished second at 4.8/8, just ahead of FOX's 4.6/8. NBC came in fourth with a 3.5/6. The CW managed only a 0.8/1.
ABC also led among adults 18-49 with a 3.4 rating. FOX and CBS tied for second at 2.1. NBC averaged 1.7 and The CW 0.5.
The first hour of "The Bachelorette" finale drew a 6.1/11 for ABC at 8 p.m. A "Bones" rerun earned a 4.2/7 for FOX. Reruns of "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" averaged 3.6/6 for CBS, a little better than "American Gladiators" on NBC. A "Gossip Girl" repeat delivered a 0.8/1 for The CW.
"The Bachelorette" improved to 7.4/12 at 9 p.m. as Pappas made her choice, 26-year-old snowboarder Jesse. CBS moved up to second with "Two and a Half Men," 5.9/10, and a second "Big Bang Theory," 4.5/7. "House," 5.0/8, was third for FOX, while "Nashville Star" drew a 3.4/6 for NBC. The CW aired a "One Tree Hill" rerun.
At 10 p.m., the reunion show "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" posted a 7.1/12 for ABC. A "CSI: Miami" repeat on CBS scored a 5.7/10, and "Nashville Star" ticked up to 3.9/7 on NBC.
