'Singing Bee' dips further

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, July 24, 2007

The dog days of summer hit NBC's unscripted shows a little bit Tuesday, but the network still had enough juice to win the night.

NBC averaged a 5.6 rating/10 share for the night, beating out CBS, 4.7/8, for the top spot. ABC finished third at 3.9/7. FOX, 2.8/5, was fourth, and The CW hardly made a blip at 0.8/1.

The adults 18-49 demographic also went to NBC, which drew a 2.6 rating. CBS, 2.1, edged ABC, 2.0, for second. FOX averaged 1.5 and The CW 0.4.

"America's Got Talent" scored a 6.0/11 for NBC at 8 p.m. CBS was not far behind with an "NCIS" rerun, 5.5/10, while ABC got a 4.8/9 from "Just for Laughs." FOX's "On the Lot" delivered a 1.5/3. The CW went with a "Gilmore Girls" rerun.

NBC stayed on top at 9 p.m. with the end of "America's Got Talent," 6.7/12, and "The Singing Bee," 5.7/10, which dipped for the second straight week. "Big Brother," 4.5/8, kept CBS in second. FOX moved up to third with a "House" rerun, 4.2/7. "Shaq's Big Challenge" drew a 3.3/6 for ABC. The CW finished its night with a "Beauty and the Geek" rerun.

At 10 p.m., "Law & Order: SVU" posted a 4.6/8 for NBC. CBS' "48 Hours Mystery" earned a 4.1/7, and ABC got a 3.6/6 from "Primetime: Family Secrets."
