'Dance,' 'Lyrics' team up for another victory

FOX's song-and-dance routine hoofed its way to the top of Thursday's ratings, climbing over CBS in the process.

For the night, FOX averaged a 5.6 rating/10 share to finish just ahead of CBS' 5.5/10. ABC finished third in households at 2.6/5, but NBC, 2.3/4, had a few more total viewers. The CW trailed with a 1.2/2.

FOX also won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.2 rating. CBS, 2.4, took second, followed by NBC at 1.4. ABC averaged 1.0 and The CW 0.7.

An hour-long "Don't Forget the Lyrics" drew a 5.4/10 for FOX at 8 p.m. "Big Brother," 4.5/9, put CBS in second. Reruns of "My Name Is Earl," 2.8/5, and "30 Rock," 2.3/4, were third for NBC, just edging ABC's "Ugly Betty" repeat. "Smallville" earned a 1.2/2 for The CW.

CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with "CSI," 6.4/11. FOX was close behind with "So You Think You Can Dance," 5.9/10 (and won the hour in the 18-49 demo). A "Grey's Anatomy" rerun on ABC was third in households at 2.6/5, although NBC's "The Office" and "Scrubs," which averaged 2.4/4, brought in slightly more viewers. "Supernatural" held the line for The CW.

"Shark," 5.7/10, easily won the 10 p.m. hour for CBS. A "Men in Trees" repeat, 2.5/4, on ABC, beat out NBC's "ER" rerun, 2.0/4, for second.
