Fast National ratings for Monday, Aug. 18, 2008

The Summer Olympics continued their dominance of the ratings Monday, putting NBC on top of the podium for the 11th straight night.

NBC drew a 15.3 rating/25 share in primetime, once again leaving everyone else in the dust. CBS was the best of the rest at 4.2/7. ABC managed only a 2.0/3, but that was good enough to beat FOX, 1.8/3, for third. The CW earned a 0.8/1.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 8.3 rating nearly doubled the combined total of the other four networks. CBS, 2.0, came in second as the only other network to break the 1.0 threshold. FOX averaged 0.9, ABC 0.8 and The CW 0.5.

The Olympics scored a 13.3/22 for NBC at 8 p.m. Reruns of "The Big Bang Theory," 3.7/6, and " How I Met Your Mother," 3.6/6, put CBS in second. FOX's "Prison Break" took third at 1.9/3, beating "High School Musical: Get in the Picture" on ABC. A " Gossip Girl" encore on The CW delivered a 0.9/2.

NBC improved to 15.9/25 at 9 p.m. CBS stayed in second with "Two and a Half Men," 5.2/8, and "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 3.9/6. ABC moved up to third with the movie "Bewitched," 2.2/3. "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" earned a 1.8/3 for FOX, while The CW aired a "One Tree Hill" rerun.

At 10 p.m., NBC's Olympics coverage built some more to 16.7/27. A "CSI: Miami" repeat on CBS posted a 4.4/7, while "Bewitched" held steady at 2.2/3.
