Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008

Day 13 of the 2008 Summer Olympics brought more big ratings to NBC, though not quite as big as the past few nights.

NBC earned a 14.9 rating/25 share for the night, down a little bit from the past couple prime-time sessions. CBS came in second with a 3.8/6. ABC and FOX tied for third in households at 2.7/5, with FOX grabbing a few more total viewers. The CW trailed at 0.6/1.

NBC's adults 18-49 rating also dipped slightly, to 8.1. CBS' 1.4 took second, slightly ahead of ABC, 1.3, and FOX, 1.2. The CW managed only a 0.3.

The Olympics snagged a 12.5/22 at 8 p.m. CBS' "Greatest American Dog" and FOX's "Bones" each drew a 3.3/5, although CBS had more viewers (5.12 million to 4.74 million). A "Wife Swap" repeat, 2.6/4, put ABC in fourth. The CW aired a rerun of "America's Next Top Model."

NBC's Olympic coverage jumped up to 15.7/25 at 9 p.m. A "Criminal Minds" rerun on CBS delivered a 3.9/6. ABC moved into third with "Supernanny," 2.7/4, beating out "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," 2.1/3, on FOX. "Girlicious" closed the night for The CW.

At 10 p.m., the Olympics scored a 16.6/28 with coverage of track and field, diving and beach volleyball. "CSI: NY," 4.4/8, kept CBS in front of ABC and "Primetime: Crime," 2.9/5.
