'Talent' Show Wins Wednesday for NBC
'America's Got Talent' is the top program for the second straight night
NBC showcased more "Talent" Wednesday night and got another comfortable ratings victory as a result.
For the night, NBC averaged a 5.6 rating/9 share, beating second-place FOX, 3.9/6, by close to 3 million viewers. CBS finished third at 3.5/5. ABC's 2.4/4 was good enough for fourth, and The CW trailed at 0.7/1.
NBC led among adults 18-49 as well, drawing a 2.3 rating in the advertisers' favored demographic. FOX took second with a 1.8. CBS, 1.4, came in third, followed by ABC, 1.1, and The CW, 0.5.
"America's Got Talent," 6.3/11, put NBC on top at 8 p.m. CBS' "Greatest American Dog" and FOX's "Bones" rerun tied for second in households at 3.7/6, although CBS had a small edge in total viewers. "Wife Swap" earned a 2.4/4 for ABC. The CW aired an "America's Next Top Model" repeat.
"America's Got Talent" improved slightly to 6.6/10 at 9 p.m. CBS took sole possession of second with "Criminal Minds," 4.5/7. A second "Bones" drew a 4.1/6 for FOX. ABC's "Supernanny" rerun held steady, keeping the network ahead of The CW and its "Girlicious" rerun.
NBC held its lead at 10 p.m., scoring a 3.8/6 with its coverage of the Democratic National Convention. CBS got a 2.5/4 from its coverage, narrowly beating ABC's 2.4/4.
