Without NCAA Basketball and only one fresh episode of its Friday-night dramas, CBS still smoked its rivals for what turned out to be a slow night. The network took home a 4.9 ratings/9 share for the win. ABC took second with a 3.5/6, followed by NBC's 2.6/5, FOX's 2.4/4 and The CW's 1.1/2.

CBS tied with ABC, however, with the 18-49 adult demo with a mere 1.6 apiece. FOX wasn't far behind with a 1.4, followed by NBC, 1.2, and The CW, 0.6.

A rerun of CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" still led at 8 p.m. with a 4.7/9, well ahead of ABC's second-place " Wife Swap," 3.0/6. NBC's "Howie Do It," 2.3/4, just edged out FOX's " Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," while The CW's combo of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged a 1.2/2.

In the 9 o'clock hour, a brand-spanking new "Flashpoint" earned CBS the highest ratings for the night with a 5.3/9. Once again ABC came next with a 3.1/5 for a rerun of " Supernanny." NBC's "Friday Night Lights" nabbed a 2.3/4, with FOX's " Dollhouse," 2.2/4 nipping at its heels. A re-airing of "America's Next Top Model" kept The CW trailing.

CBS finished the night at 10 p.m. with a 4.6/8 for a "Numb3rs" repeat, while ABC's "20/20" got a 4.5/8. NBC claimed third with "Dateline," 3.3/6.
