TV ratings: CBS' Thursday win is a repeat
Reruns power Eye's viewer victory while FOX wins the demo
Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 18, 2009A lineup of reruns gave CBS an easy ratings victory Thursday, but FOX was able to snag the demographic title with its "Dance"-off.
CBS drew a 5.8 rating/10 share in households and 8.73 million viewers for the night, beating FOX (4.1/7, 6.44 million) by a pretty good amount. NBC came in third with a 2.6/5. ABC managed only a 1.7/3, but that was good enough to beat The CW's 0.9/2.
FOX led the adults 18-49 demo with a 2.1. CBS, 1.6, finished second, and NBC was third at 1.3. Neither ABC nor The CW cracked the 1.0 mark.
A pair of "How I Met Your Mother" reruns averaged 5.1/10 for CBS at 8 o'clock. NBC's "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here," 3.3/6, edged FOX's "Bones" rerun, 3.2/6, for second. "Ugly Betty" drew a 1.9/4 for ABC, holding off "Smallville" on The CW.
CBS' "CSI," 6.3/11, scored the night's biggest audience at 9 p.m. FOX moved into second with the "So You Think You Can Dance" results show, 5.0/9 (which had the night's best 18-49 numbers). Reruns of "The Office" and "30 Rock" were third for NBC, a little ahead of "Grey's Anatomy," 1.7/3, on ABC. The CW got a 0.8/1 from "Supernatural."
"The Mentalist," 6.1/11, capped the CBS sweep of the night at 10 p.m. "The Listener" earned a 2.7/5 for NBC, and "Private Practice" came in at 1.6/3 for ABC.
