TV ratings: CBS and ABC lead Monday
'Bachelorette,' reruns carry the night
Fast National ratings for Monday, June 22, 2009Monday's ratings followed their typical pattern, with CBS' lineup of reruns and ABC's "The Bachelorette" grabbing the night's biggest audiences.
CBS won the overall title with a 4.5 rating/8 share in households and 6.9 million viewers, beating out ABC's 4.1/7 and 5.9 million viewers. NBC took third at 3.1/5. FOX's 2.9/5 was right behind in fourth, and The CW was well back at 0.6/1.
ABC led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.0 rating, just beating CBS' 1.9. NBC finished third in the demographic with a 1.5, edging FOX's 1.4. The CW managed only a 0.3.
"The Bachelorette," 4.6/8, won the 8 o'clock hour fairly easily. A "House" rerun on FOX drew a 3.3/6, just beating the 3.2/6 average for reruns of "How I Met Your Mother" and "Rules of Engagement" on CBS. "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here" earned a 2.9/5 for NBC. The CW aired a "Gossip Girl" rerun.
CBS took the lead at 9 p.m. with "Two and a Half Men," 5.6/9, and "The Big Bang Theory," 4.9/8. "The Bachelorette" improved slightly to 4.8/8 on ABC. "I'm a Celebrity" dipped to 2.7/4 on NBC, but that was good enough to edge "Lie to Me," 2.6/4, on FOX. "One Tree Hill" trailed for The CW.
"CSI: Miami," 5.2/9, kept CBS on top at 10. "Dateline" scored a 3.6/6 for NBC, and "Here Come the Newlyweds" averaged 2.8/5 for ABC.
