'Big Brother,' drama reruns reel in the viewers

Fast National ratings for Thursday, July 30, 2009

CBS claimed its usual top spot in Thursday's overall ratings, but the elimination of two more competitors on "So You Think You Can Dance" gave FOX a demographic win.

CBS led the night with just under 7.4 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/9 share in households. FOX (6.3 million, 3.9/7) came in second. NBC finished third but was pretty far off the pace with just 3.5 million viewers and a 2.4/4. ABC (3 million, 2.1/4) was fourth, and The CW took fifth with 1.3 million viewers and a 0.9/2.

FOX led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.0. CBS drew a 1.7 to finish second, ahead of NBC's 1.2. Neither ABC (0.8) nor The CW (0.5) broke the 1.0 barrier.
