TV ratings: Two hours of 'Talent' top Tuesday
NBC rolls to a win; FOX competitive in demos
Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009"America's Got Talent" expanded to two hours Tuesday night, leading NBC to a ratings victory along the way.
NBC drew 10.8 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/12 share in households for the night to lead the Nielsen ratings by a wide margin. It brought in about 4 million more viewers than second-place CBS (6.8 million, 4.5/8). FOX (5.3 million, 3.2/6) came in third. ABC was fourth with 2.8 million viewers and a 1.9/3. The CW trailed brought up the rear with just under a million viewers and a 0.7/1.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 2.9 rating beat FOX's 2.5 for the top spot. CBS took third at 1.7. ABC earned a 1.0 and The CW a 0.4.

FOX: "More to Love" (4.1 million, 2.6/4)

The CW: "Hitched or Ditched" (1.1 million, 0.7/1)
