TV ratings: CBS repeats as Monday's champ
Teen Choice Awards not big with the over-18 crowd
Fast National ratings for Monday, Aug. 10, 2009Regis Philbin and the Teen Choice Awards didn't do much to change the usual order in Monday's TV ratings. Which is to say, CBS once again led the way.
CBS averaged 6.8 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households for the night. NBC (5.2 million, 3.5/6) narrowly beat ABC (5 million, 3.4/6) for second. FOX came in fourth overall with 3.9 million viewers and a 2.4/4. The CW pulled in just 845,000 viewers and a 0.5/1.
CBS won the adults 18-49 demographic too, drawing a 2.0 rating. ABC and FOX tied for second at 1.4, with NBC right behind at 1.3. The CW was well back at 0.3.
Here's the hour-by-hour breakdown:
8 p.m.
ABC: "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (7.2 million viewers, 4.7/8 households)
CBS: "How I Met Your Mother" rerun (4.8 million, 3.2/6)/ "Rules of Engagement" rerun (5.4 million, 3.5/6)
NBC: "Great American Road Trip" (4.4 million, 2.8/5)
FOX: 2009 Teen Choice Awards (3.7 million, 2.4/4)
The CW: "One Tree Hill" rerun (877,000, 0.5/1)
18-49 leader: "Rules of Engagement" (1.8)

CBS: "Two and a Half Men" rerun (8.6 million, 5.7/9)/ "The Big Bang Theory" rerun (8.4 million, 5.6/9)
NBC: "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (5 million, 3.0/5)
ABC: "Dating in the Dark" (4.5 million, 3.0/5)
FOX: Teen Choice Awards (4.2 million, 2.5/4)
The CW: "Gossip Girl" rerun (812,000, 0.5/1)
18-49 leader: "The Big Bang Theory" (2.7)

CBS: "CSI: Miami" rerun (7 million, 4.7/8)
