TV ratings: 'America's Got Talent' leads a quiet Wednesday
NBC takes a so-so night; FOX takes a hit without 'SYTYCD'
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009Wednesday was a relatively soft night in the Nielsen ratings, with only "America's Got Talent" making any sort of noise in the ratings.
The show led NBC to a win for the night; the network averaged 7.4 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households. ABC took second with just under 6 million viewers and a 3.7/7. CBS (5.5 million, 3.8/7) was third, followed by FOX (3.9 million, 2.4/4), which saw its fortunes suffer now that "So You Think You Can Dance" has wrapped for the summer. The CW drew 1.35 million viewers and a 0.9/2.
NBC also led the adults 18-49 demographic, albeit with just a 1.9 rating. ABC finished second with a 1.6. CBS, 1.4, came in third, followed by FOX, 1.2, and The CW, 0.6.

NBC: "America's Got Talent" (11.4 million, 6.9/12)
ABC: "Wipeout" (6.1 million, 3.4/6)
CBS: "Criminal Minds" rerun (5.9 million, 4.0/7)
FOX: "Lie to Me" rerun (3.3 million, 2.1/4)
The CW: "America's Next Top Model" rerun (1.4 million, 1.0/2)
18-49 leader: "America's Got Talent" (2.9)
10 p.m.
CBS: "CSI: NY" rerun (6.6 million, 4.6/8)
ABC: "Primetime: Crime" (5.3 million, 3.7/7)
NBC: "The Philanthropist" (4.7 million, 3.1/6)
