'Pirates,' 'Idol' Voted Kids' Choice

Ben Stiller won the Wannabe award
The "SexyBack" singer hosted the 20th anniversary edition of the kiddie awards show Saturday (March 31) telecast live from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles' Westwood area. Among the other top winners included "The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" for favorite movie, "Happy Feet" for favorite animated movie, "American Idol" for favorite TV show, Dakota Fanning and Adam Sandler as favorite female and male movie stars, the Black Eyed Peas for favorite music group and Beyonce for favorite female singer.
The spectacle didn't end with just the flowing green slime and orange blimp awards though. The kids in the audience were also treated to a daredevil plunging into a bucket of slime from 225 feet, Gwen Stefani performing "The Sweet Escape" with Akon, a burping contest, Maroon5 performing their new single "Makes Me Wonder" and Ben Stiller winning the Wannabe Award for the celebrity role model that kids most "want to be."
"When I was a kid, I wanted to be a lot of people and a lot of things -- an astronaut, an archaeologist, Spider-Man, Batman," said Stiller in his acceptance speech. "But at the end of the day, the most important person you should want to be is yourself, because there is only one you. And if you believe in yourself, you can do anything you want to do. Anything is possible, just go for it."
