Aaron Carter Arrested, Marijuana Found in Car
Singer was pulled over for speeding in Texas
The pop singer was arrested for investigation of marijuana possession on Thursday, Feb. 21 in Texas, reports People.
Carter, 20, was driving in the Lone Star State when his Cadillac Escalade was pulled over for speeding around noon in the city of Junction.
No one else was in the car, but officers did find marijuana.
Carter starred in E!'s 2006 reality show "House of Carters." In the weekly series, Aaron, big brother Nick, twin sister Angel, and sisters Leslie and Bobbie Jean moved in together to plan their futures.
The Carter family has created its share headlines: mom Jane Carter's arrest on a battery charge; her bitter divorce from Bob Carter; at age 16, Aaron's peitition for legal emancipation from his manager/mother; Nick's arrest for drunk driving; and Bobbie Jean's arrest for assault.
Aaron Carter is also notorious for allegedly starting the celebrity feud between Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff by dating both of them back in the day. He also famously proposed to his former Playboy Playmate girlfriend Kari Ann Peniche on stage in Las Vegas, but then broke the engagement a week later. He was 18 at the time, and Peniche was his brother Nick's ex-girlfriend before she started dating the younger Carter.
Aaron Carter sold more than 1.5 million copies of his 2000 album "Aaron's Party" and released his latest album "Come and Get It: The Very Best of Aaron Carter" in January 2006.
His acting credits include a guest stint on "7th Heaven" and roles in "Fat Albert," "Supercross," the direct-to-video "Popstar" and the indie "I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With."
