Louis C.K. and Pamela Adlon will write and possibly star in untitled comedy

Today is a lucky day if you were one of the fans of HBO's short-lived "Lucky Louie."

We know you're out there somewhere, fans of "Lucky Louie."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has given a script commitment to an untitled multi-camera comedy created by Louis C.K. and Pamela Adlon. The "Lucky Louie" stars will write the pilot script and if CBS orders a pilot, they'll also star.

The trade paper says that the pilot focuses on a couple who "have been together too long and have too many children." But how many children is too many? And how long is too long?

C.K. would serve as executive producer on the pilot.

In addition to starring in "Lucky Louie," Adlon and C.K. also co-wrote the episode "Discipline."

Adlon is an Emmy winner for her voice work on FOX's "King of the Hill." She also co-stars on Showtime's "Californication."

C.K. earned an Emmy as one of the writers on "The Chris Rock Show." He won no awards for his work as writer-director on "Pootie Tang."
