Farrah Leni Fawcett was born on February 2, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pauline and James Fawcett. After attending the University of Austin through her junior year, she decided to give Hollywood a try.
She began with TV commercials and then moved on to appearing on series such as "The Six Million Dollar Man," "The Partridge Family" and "I Dream of Jeannie."
It was being cast as Jill Munroe on "Charlie's Angels," however, that rocketed Fawcett to stardome and made her feathered hairstyle one of the most requested in salons. Faberge even marketed a line of Farrah Fawcett shampoos.
