Pilots: Aidan Quinn Drives to 'Motor City'
Rutger Hauer also cast in ABC drama
It's also attracting one of the deeper casts of any show in development this season.
The latest additions to the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter, are Aidan Quinn and Rutger Hauer. They join a cast that also includes Warren Christie ("October Road"), Andie MacDowell ("Four Weddings and a Funeral"), Piper Perabo ("The Prestige"), Morris Chestnut ("The Game Plan"), Benny Ciaramello ("Friday Night Lights"), Aunjanue Ellis ("Ray"), John Carroll Lynch ("The Drew Carey Show") and Sharon Lawrence ("Hidden Palms," " NYPD Blue").
"Prince of Motor City" was written by "New Adventures of Old Christine" co-star Hamish Linklater and Jessica Goldberg. It centers on Christie's character, a Harvard professor who comes home to Detroit following the death of his father (Hauer) and inherits the family's car company.
Quinn will play the Claudius role as Christie's uncle, who's eager to move out of his late brother's shadow. He was an Emmy nominee last year for HBO's "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" and appeared on FOX's " Canterbury's Law" this season. His credits also include "Legends of the Fall," "Benny & Joon" and "The Book of Daniel."
Among Hauer's many credits are "Batman Begins," "Blade Runner," "Sin City" and "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."
