Pilots: FOX 'Minister' Role Up Kirstie's Alley
Dramas lure Hauser, Smith and Knighton
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alley has booked the lead in "The Minister of Divine," about a former wild child who returns to her small hometown as a minister. The series is based on the British comedy "The Vicar of Dibley."
Alley was most recently seen in Showtime's "Fat Actress." The two-time Emmy winner has also starred in the long-running comedies "Cheers" and "Veronica's Closet."
Also at FOX, Cole Hauser will take one of two leads in the post-Katrina New Orleans buddy cop series "K-Ville." Hauser's feature credits include "The Break-Up," "The Cave" and "Paparazzi."
In addition, the justices-in-love drama "Supreme Courtships" has added a pair of FOX favorites in "That '70s Show" vet Kurtwood Smith (as one of the judges) and "The Hitcher" and "Life on a Stick" star Zachary Knighton (as one of the clerks).
