Pilots also add 'Six Degrees,' 'Transformers' actors

ABC remains busy on the pilot front this summer, with Billy Zane and "Six Degrees" star Dorian Missick among the network's latest signees.

Zane ("Titanic," "BloodRayne") will star opposite Teri Polo in ABC's drama "Finnegan," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show centers on Polo's character, who leads the vice and organized crime unit at the LAPD. Zane will play a prosecutor who works closely with her.

The show marks Zane's first TV work since he did a guest arc on "Charmed" in 2005. His recent movie credits include "Memory" and "Alien Agent."

Missick, who played limo driver Damian on "Six Degrees," has joined the cast of ABC's comedy "Bad Mother's Handbook," which stars Alicia Silverstone as the harried single mother of a teenage daughter (Alia Shawkat). He'll play the principal at the daughter's school, someone with whom Silverstone's character has a drunken hookup.

Also at ABC, Rizwan Manji ("Transformers," " Charlie Wilson's War") will be part of the David Kohan-Max Mutchnick comedy. He'll play the IT specialist at the office where best friends and business partners Drew (Alan Tudyk) and Derek (Josh Cooke) work.
