'Worst' Casting For CBS Pilot
Kyle Bornheimer will star in 'Worst Week,' with Jay Malone co-starring
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kyle Bornheimer will take the male lead in the Universal Media Studios/ Hat Trick comedy, with Jay Malone in a key supporting role.
Like so many pilots this season, "Worst Week" is based on a British format (in this case the BBC's "The Worst Week of My Life"). Bornheimer will play Sam, who experiences a mighty bad week that includes a vacation with his fiance's family. Ben Miller and Sarah Alexander starred in the British original.
The trade says that Malone will play the best friend and co-worker of the main character.
You might have spotted Bornheimer in his guest appearances on shows including "Jericho," "Weeds," "Will & Grace," "Medium" or "How I Met Your Mother," plus his extensive commercial work. Then again, you might not have. He also appeared in The CW's "Dash 4 Cash" last pilot season.
Malone is a Canadian stand-up comic whose credits include one episode of "Boston Legal."
