CBS Comedy Taps The Notorious B.A.G.
Lengies, Capshaw, Jacott, Bee and others make the casting rounds
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Green will play the gay half of a gay-straight writing duo in an untitled series from gay-straight writing duo Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, the folks who brought you "Four Kings" and "Good Morning Miami."
In addition to Green, last seen on ABC's one-and-done comedy "Freddie," the pilot has added Vanessa Lengies ("American Dreams") and Jessica Capshaw ("Bones," "The L Word") as two of the women who work with the central writers. The straight scribe has yet to be announced.
Over at FOX, Samantha Bee ("The Daily Show") and Carlos Jacott ("Kicking and Screaming") will join Beau Bridges in the comedy "Two Families" about a two sets of adult siblings who unknowingly share the same patriarch (Bridges). Jacott and Bee will play twins on one side of the family.
Also at FOX, Liz Vassey (Captain Liberty on "The Tick") is the latest actress added to the medical ensemble "The Cure." Already on the "Cure" job are Oded Fehr, Esai Morales, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and Anson Mount.
But wait. There's more FOX casting news! "Living with Fran" star Ben Feldman is set for the us-against-aliens drama "Them," while Molly Stanton ("Twins") will topline the network's untitled Liz Meriwether comedy.
