Divorce, Ya'll: Britney Spears Single Again
K-Fed shares custody for now
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's divorce became final in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, July 30, reports People.
For now, the couple is splitting custody of their two sons -- Sean Preston and Jayden James -- 50-50. This might change depending on how much Federline trusts his ex's recent erratic behavior.
Federline, 29, was a backup dancer who left his pregnant girlfriend Shar Jackson for Spears, 25. After their flirtation on camera with UPN's "Chaotic," they married in a sneaky wedding ceremony in September 2004.
Since his marriage, Federline's fame has increased to some degree, resulting in a guest appearance on "CSI" and his debut album "Playing With Fire," which debuted to laughably dismal numbers.
In November, marking about two years of marriage, Spears filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Although an initial settlement agreement arranged for joint legal and physical custody, Federline might move towards trying for full custody.
In February, Spears shocked the world and her estranged husband when she apparently went off the deep end when she busted into a closed hair salon, grabbed hair clippers and shaved her head bald. Two aborted attempts at rehab followed, with Spears finally landing at the Promises drug facility in Malibu.
Since her release, she's still been attracting paparazzi attention with strange behavior on a recent photo shoot and swimming in public in just her underwear.
