Big Bucks For 'CSI' Producers
Mendelsohn and Donahue plan to stay with their shows
The industry trade papers are reporting that Mendelsohn and Donahue have signed agreements to stay in the CBS Paramount Network Television family through the spring of 2010.
Mendelsohn and Donahue are executive producers on all three "CSI" shows, with Mendelsohn serving as showrunner on the Las Vegas mothership and Donahue controlling the Miami spin-off. Their new deals are in the eight-figure range, a bump from the $12 million they made over their last four-year contract, according to Variety.
While the two writer/producers are paired in this story and otehrs, their contracts are entirely separate. They're expected to continue with their respective "CSI" offerings, though the new deals also cover future development options with the company.
At the Television Critics Association press tour last week, CBS execs told reporters that there are no current plans to introduce a fourth "CSI" in the near future.
