Change at the Top of 'Dirty Sexy Money'
'Big Shots' creator takes helm in showrunner swap
Jon Feldman, who created "Big Shots" for the network last year, will take his place in overseeing day-to-day production of the series, the showbiz trade papers report.
The usual creative differences are to blame for the change. Cerone, who's worked on "Dexter" and "Charmed," was reportedly taking the sometimes-frothy, sometimes-serious soap to a somewhat darker place, and it made for an improper fit. The split doesn't appear to be acrimonious, though; Cerone still has a deal with "Dirty Sexy Money" producer ABC Studios and will work on developing new projects.
The show was scheduled to take a break from filming in July, but that hiatus has now been moved up to give Feldman time to catch up. He'll take the title of exec producer alongside creator Craig Wright, Greg Berlanti -- who worked with Feldman on "Dawson's Creek" -- Bryan Singer and Matthew Gross.
In addition to the short-lived "Big Shots," Feldman created FOX's "Tru Calling" and "Reunion."
