Dorff Dogs 'Skip' Pilot for CBS
Network also sends 'Viva Blackpool!' adaptation to pilot
The drama focuses on a skip tracer, a "charming rogue" who searches Los Angeles' underbelly for missing persons.
According to the industry trades, Dorff helped develop "Tracer" under his talent deal with CBS. The "Blade" co-star, who recently appeared in "Covert One: The Hades Factor" for the network, will executive produce along with "Sopranos" veterans Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess.
Dorff's latest big screen credits have included "Cold Creek Manor" and "World Trade Center."
In other CBS development news, the network has sent the tentatively titled "Viva Laughlin!" to pilot. The musical extension of the acclaimed BBC miniseries "Viva Blackpool!" is executive produced by Hugh Jackman, with the "X-Men" star set to make a guest appearance in the pilot.
