Actor marries fellow Brit Claire Forlani

Even though Dougray Scott didn't get the girl on "Desperate Housewives," in real life he successfully tied the knot.

The Scottish actor and "Mallrats" actress Claire Forlani were married in a private civil ceremony in Italy on Friday, June 8, reports People.

Attending the ceremony was Forlani's father Pierluigi and more than 100 guests. The bride wore a Junko Yoshioka gown, a Swarovski hair pin and Jimmy Choo heels.

The two met about a year and a half ago through a mutual friend, and he proposed to Forlani last September.

Scott, 41,last played Ian Kavanaugh, Susan's former love interest on "Desperate Housewives" this past season. He's also known for the short-lived "Heist" and big-screen credits such as "Ever After," "Mission: Impossible II" and "Dark Water."

Forlani, 34, is a British actress who has a recurring role on "CSI: New York." She's mainly known for her films "Mallrats," "Meet Joe Black" and "Boys and Girls."
