Joins fellow "Dancing" vet Lisa Rinna

Step off Rivers Women, here comes Joey Fatone.

TV Guide Network announced on Tuesday (Aug. 21) that Joey Fatone will join the previously announced Lisa Rinna on the channel's red carpet coverage.

Fatone, currently revamping his career as the host of NBC's "Singing Bee," will make his red carpet debut at the Emmy Awards on Sept. 16. He's signed with TV Guide through 2008.

"Joey is a top-notch professional with a natural likeability and great sense of humor, all of which are essential attributes of a Red Carpet TV host," says Ryan O'Hara, the cable network's president. "He will be a terrific complement to Lisa, who is also incredibly charismatic and brings a wealth of fashion savvy and insight."

Rinna and Fatone are replacing TV Guide's previous red carpet staples Joan and Melissa Rivers.

In addition to his time with a little boy band, Fatone has appeared in films including "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "On the Line." He also finished second on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" (a show that also gave a major career boost to Rinna).

"Co-hosting the Red Carpet for TV Guide Network alongside Lisa is really an exciting opportunity," Fatone says in a statement. "I am looking forward to making the Red Carpet experience entertaining, spontaneous, and most of all fun -- not only for those walking the Red Carpet, but also for the fans watching at home."
