CBS Tests 'Gary Unmarried' on Monday
Pilot will reair post-'Two and a Half Men'
On Monday, Oct. 27, CBS will reair the "Gary Unmarried" pilot in the 9:30 p.m. ET slot after " Two and a Half Men." The prime slot's normal occupant, " Worst Week," will be preempted.
The single-serving Monday showcase could have one of two purposes for CBS.
At the very least, it gives "Gary Unmarried" the chance to capitalize on the network's strongest available timeslot, paired with TV's top rated comedy, adding eyes that could follow the show back to Wednesday.
Alternatively, the Monday airing could also be a try-out in case "Worst Week" continues to struggle with retaining the "Two and a Half Men" audience.
"Gary Unmarried" has delivered respectable returns on Wednesdays, where it's anchoring CBS' new comedy block with " The New Adventures of Old Christine." In its most recent airing the Jay Mohr sitcom set series highs in viewers (7.56 million), as well as adults 19-49 and 25-54.
