What's in fashion on "Gossip Girl"? Another love interest for Serena.

The relative unknown Armie Hammer has been tapped to play Gabriel Serrano, an elegant socialite from abroad who'll make moves on S (Blake Lively).

But don't get too attached. According to the LA Times Showtracker, Hammer, 22, will only be around for three episodes, which really can't spell romantic longevity. And if it that weren't bad enough, he'll be seeing Serena's gal pal Poppy Lifton (Tamara Feldman) first, before he moves on to her.

Frankly, S in relationships isn't very interesting, and after creepy, creepy Aaron Rose (John Patrick Amedori) -- whose abrupt, off-screen departure makes him even creepier -- she might be better off being single for a while.

The CW is liking Hammer and have already cast him as the devil's son Morgan in a couple upcoming episodes of "Reaper."
