CCH Pounder and Cole Hauser will play journalistic crimefighters

CCH Pounder and Cole Hauser will star in the CBS drama presentation "The Tower," while the cast of FOX's comedy "The Inn" has expanded to include a new quartet.

Set in Chicago, "The Tower" focuses on a group of reporters who try to solve the crimes they're supposed to be investigating.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hauser will play a crime reporter, with Pounder as the paper's managing editor.

Hauser just spent part of a season as one of the leads on FOX's underwhelming "K-Ville." His feature film credits include "Paparazzi" and "The Cave."

Pounder has earned Emmy nominations for her regular supporting turns on "ER" and, most recently, "The Shield." She also picked up an Emmy nod for a guest spot on "The X-Files."

Over on FOX, Jesse Tyler Ferguson ("The Class"), Molly Stanton ("Twins"), Jolene Purdy ("Donnie Darko") and Brando Eaton will join Niecy Nash in "The Inn," an "Upstairs/Downstairs"-style look at a ritzy New York hotel.
