Jason Dohring joins 'Washingtonienne,' Shannyn Sossamon on 'How to Make It'

Two of the stars of CBS' "Moonlight" are headed to HBO -- though they'll be working on separate projects.

Jason Dohring has joined the cast of the Sarah Jessica Parker-produced comedy "Washingtonienne." Shannyn Sossamon, meanwhile, will co-star in "How to Make It in America," the latest effort from the "Entourage" team.

"Washingtonienne," loosely based on Jessica Cutler's book, follows the lives of three young women working as congressional staffers in Washington. Dohring, who also starred on "Veronica Mars," will play a legislative aide in the Senate office where lead character Jackie (Rachael Taylor) works, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Emmy nominee Kate Burton ("Grey's Anatomy") has also come aboard the show, playing the senator's beleaguered personal assistant.

"How to Make It" stars Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk as two budding entrepreneurs trying to climb the ladder in New York. Scott Mescudi (aka hip-hop artist Kid Cudi) has joined the cast as well. Details on his and Sossamon's roles are scant at the moment.

In addition to "Moonlight," Sossamon's recent credits include "The Holiday," "One Missed Call" and a recurring part on FX's "Dirt."
