it's the first child for the couple

"ER" actress Kellie Martin visited the hospital again for the birth of her daughter.

Martin and her husband Keith Christian welcomed their first child, Margaret Heather Christian, on Saturday afternoon, reports People.

"Kellie and Maggie are both doing very well," says Martin's rep. The baby weighed 8 lbs.

Martin, 31, met Christian at Yale University where they were both students. She left "ER" to finish her studies in history there.

Martin is also known as a series regular on "Life Goes On." Lately, she's been starring in the Hallmark Channel's "Mystery Woman" cable movie franchise
