'Melrose Place' Actress Gives Birth to Son
It's the first child for her and husband Daniel Giersch
The 37-year-old actress and her businessman husband, Daniel Giersch, welcomed their first child into the family on Wednesday, Oct. 18, reports People.
The son, named Hermes Gustaf Daniel Giersch, was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and weighed 8.5 lbs.
"We live so close to the hospital, we thought we could either hang out here and eat hospital food or go home and order take-out from La Scala," says Rutherford, who is currently resting at home with her baby.
"We are all feeling good and I am so blissed out and tired," she adds.
Rutherford was briefly married to Carlos Tarajano in 2001. Their marriage lasted less than seven months.
Rutherford played Megan Lewis Mancini on "Melrose Place" from 1996-1999. Her other TV credits include roles on "Homefront," "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.," "Get Real," "The Fugitive," "The District" and "E-Ring."
