Kim Cattrall, HBO Hook Up Again
'Sex and the City' star developing comedy series
Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on the small-screen "SATC" and currently stars in the box office-topping film based on the show, will star in and executive produce a show called "Sensitive Skin." The show is based on a British series (as seemingly every TV project is these days) about a middle-aged woman who starts to wonder about the choices she's made in her life, emotionally, sexually and otherwise.
Two other HBO veterans, "Sopranos" writers Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess, are writing and exec producing the pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hugo Blick, who created the British series, will also be an executive producer.
The project arises out of a development deal Cattrall signed with HBO when she came aboard the "Sex and the City" movie. The film captured the top spot at the box office last weekend, bringing in better than $55 million.
Cattrall won a Golden Globe in 2003 for playing Samantha and earned five consecutive Emmy nominations for the role from 2000-04. Burgess and Green are also Emmy winners, having won two for writing on "The Sopranos" and shared in the show's best drama series victory in 2004.
