'Law & Order: SVU' Loses Pair
Adam Beach, Diane Neal departing show
Two of the show's regulars, Adam Beach and Diane Neal, will depart the nine-year-old series at the end of the season. Beach joined the show this season after guesting a couple times last season, while Neal has been with the series since 2003.
"Law & Order" mastermind Dick Wolf sounds sanguine about Beach's departure, calling him a "superb actor." "He did a terrific job this season on 'SVU,' and I look forward to working with him again in the near future," Wolf tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Beach and Wolf also worked together on the HBO film "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee," after which Beach joined "SVU" full-time as Detective Chester Lake.
Neal has played Assistant District Attorney Casey Neal for the past five seasons. Her character will make way for a new ADA come next season.
