'Traveler' Star Packs Bags for NBC
Logan Marshall-Green to star in pilot
Marshall-Green will star in the network's cop-show pilot "Blue Blood," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show centers on a group of rookie cops in New York, including one -- Marshall-Green's character -- who's a Harvard graduate.
The show is based on a memoir by Edward Conlon, who chronicled his experiences on the beat for The New Yorker and later in book form. Neil Tolkin ("The Emperor's Club") is writing the script and will executive produce with Brett Ratner ("Women's Murder Club"), Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo. Ratner is also set to direct the pilot.
NBC has also asked for two more scripts beyond the pilot. That's typically a good sign for a would-be series, although it could also be a hedge against a possible writers strike.
Marshall-Green starred in ABC's "Traveler" this summer as a grad student framed for an act of terrorism. His other TV credits include "The O.C." and "24," and he also appears in the feature film "Across the Universe."
