Another Round of 'Tequila' for MTV
Network orders second season, spinoff
Sorry, Bobby.
The pickup of the show is not a big surprise -- the finale of "A Shot at Love" was MTV's highest-rated series broadcast in two years among the network's core audience of people aged 12-34. About 6 million people watched, making it the biggest series broadcast on MTV since an "Osbournes" episode in 2002.
All that means another round of digital-age celebrity Tila Tequila looking for a partner from a group of both men and women. New episodes are likely to premiere in the spring; MTV has also signed a deal with executive producer Sally Ann Salsano to develop new shows.
One of those will be a spinoff from "A Shot at Love" called "That's Amore." It's also a dating show, with "Shot" contestant Domenico Nesci choosing one of 15 American women to take home to mama. MTV has ordered six episodes to air sometime early this year.
