'Dreams' Realized for NBC Pilot
Constance Zimmer, three others sign on to comedy
The pilot, in which Trucco ("Battlestar Galactica") plays a cad who uses his skills to help women find love, is scheduled to go into production as soon as the writers' strike ends. It will do so with a cast that now includes Constance Zimmer, RonReaco lee, Justina Machado and Christina Chang, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Zimmer ("Entourage," "Boston Legal") will play Trucco's sister, a single mother who runs a wedding-planning business. "Six Feet Under" alumna Machado is set to play her business partner.
Rounding out the cast are Chang ("CSI: Miami") as a self-professed gold digger and Lee ("Guess Who," "Committed") as a "Star Wars" geek and would-be player who looks up to Trucco's character, Larry.
Jay Lacopo wrote the pilot, which comes from Conan O'Brien's production company, Conaco. Lacopo and O'Brien will also executive produce the show with Jeff Ross and David Kissinger.
