NBC Motivated to Buy Tony Robbins Show
'Life-changing' series gets eight-episode order
The network has picked up eight episodes of the currently untitled series. Robbins, who's famous for his motivational speeches and series of self-help tools ranging from books to nutritional supplements, will appear on camera with participants and also be an executive producer.
"In these tough times, this new series will offer complete life transformations to people who deserve a brand new start, and there's no one better suited to assist people in making positive change happen than Tony Robbins," says Paul Telegdy, NBC's head of alternative programming.
The show will feature Robbins working with people to help them face challenges in their lives. He will design a plan for the transformations, and cameras will follow participants for several weeks while they work toward the goals Robbins sets for them.
"It's a privilege to partner with NBC," Robbins says. "We look forward to creating a program where the real-life struggles and victories on screen can touch and inspire the larger television audience at home."
Reveille, the company behind "The Biggest Loser," is producing the series. Robbins, Howard T. Owens, Mark Koops and Bruce Beresford-Redman are the exec producers.
