Zap2it's Fall 2008 TV Preview Presents Know Your Remakes and Spinoffs
1 of 11
Introduction
If much of what you see on television this fall feels a little, uh, familiar, you're not imagining it.
Remakes (or sequels, or updates, or whatever you want to call them) are all over the TV landscape for 2008-09. Four of the five broadcast networks have such shows on their schedule this season, ranging from a romantic comedy based on an Israeli show (CBS' "The Ex List") to The CW's 21st-century update of 1990s touchstone "Beverly Hills, 90210."
Throw in a couple of spinoffs (FOX's "Cleveland Show") and oft-filmed adaptations (NBC's "Crusoe") and it's hard to find a new series that's not based on something that's already been on screen.
