What About 'Brian'? Co-Star Books Pilot
'Click' director will helm 'Me & Lee' pilot
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amanda Detmer has booked a lead role in CBS' comedy "1321 Clover." The comedy is a documentary-style look at a typical suburban family and will feature Detmer and Paul F. Thompkins as the central married couple, with Logan Grove as one of their two children.
Presumably the comedy is in second position to "What About Brian" for Detmer, whose other credits include "Saving Silverman" and "The Majestic."
With an average weekly viewership of only 5.75 million, "What About Brian" is considered a decided longshot for renewal.
Also at CBS, Frank Coraci ("Around the World in 80 Days") will direct Jason Biggs in the comedy pilot "I'm in Hell." The pilot will be the first for Coraci, whose last big screen effort was the Oscar nominated comedy "Click."
In other casting news, Bill Smitrovich ("Without a Trace") and Jason Antoon ("The Lost Room") are joining FOX's comedy "Me & Lee," which already stars Jamie Kennedy and Lee Majors.
