Pilots: Fehr Finds a 'Cure' for FOX
Other new casting additions include Garcia, Carbonell and others
Most recently seen plotting nefarious crimes on Showtime's "Sleeper Cell," Fehr ("The Mummy") will join the ensemble of FOX's "The Cure," about mavericks who cut through red tape to solve medical cases. Esai Morales, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and Anson Mount were previously announced.
Also scrubbing in for FOX is veteran "Falcon Crest" and "Logan's Run" (the TV series) star Gregory Harrison, who will do doctor duty on "Nurses," along with previously announced co-stars Sara Rue and Katheryn Winnick. Also new to the ensemble are Brett Dalton and Melinda Page Hamilton.
In other FOX casting news, Johnny Sneed ("House") will join Craig Bierko in the comedy "The Rules for Starting Over," also featuring Shaun Majumder. Plus, Yara Martinez will play a cop in the drama "The Apostles," in an ensemble that already includes Shawn Hatosy and Kevin McDonald.
Over on CBS, "Suddenly Susan" and "The Tick" co-star Carbonell will take one of the leads in the untitled Cynthia Cidre drama formerly titled "Los Duques" and toplined by Jimmy Smits. The pilot focuses on an outsider (Smits) given control of a family-operated rum operation, with Carbonell playing a member of the family.
Garcia, whose run on The CW's "Reba," came to an end this past weekend, will appear in the ABC ensemble comedy "The Captain" about the wacky residents of Los Angeles' El Capitan apartment building. Fran Kranz was previously cast.
